How do I join the PABA business association?
Why should I become a PABA member?
Make new business contacts
As a business owner, keeping current with new and existing business contacts are often the lifeblood of your success. Within PABA program and event activities, you'll meet many of the area's newest entrepreneurs along with well established local business leaders. These are people who already are "Plover Proud" and happy to share why!
Attend numerous membership functions
Membership gatherings take on many shapes and forms; including special events of new and existing businesses in the area. We also stage PABA Info-Sessions to feature topics or concern issues with informational background that can help keep members up-to-date.
Enjoy our social functions
This gives a great, no-pressure opportunity to attend a special event and make even more acquaintances within the business community. Examples are the PABA Annual and Holiday Dinners, occasional mixers, the bowling party or casual golf experience.
Participate in community involvement, support and promotion
Making central Wisconsin as the place to be is all part of targeting business growth, community enrichment with benefits that spill into employee retention. Our PABA Community & Development Committee works with the Village of Plover, Portage County and other leadership groups in the work of economic development and business recruitment and retention programs. This PABA website has an online directory of all members which provides hyperlink opportunity directly back to your website.
A periodic electronic newsletter accents ongoing website and social media efforts to share what's happening around the greater Plover area and within PABA.
The Backers continue to serve as the goodwill arm of PABA. Volunteers meet on the second Tuesday of most months to visit and learn at other businesses and then meet over lunch. Further, PABA Backers take the lead role in conducting a PABA Brat Fry and the annual Christmas Presents from the Heart campaign which collects non-perishable food, cash and gift item donations leading up to the holiday season; all to the benefit and support Operation Bootstrap efforts that serve the many needs of the broader community.
